MSG has been used for more than 100 years to season food and, until recently, was widely thought to be safe.
Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) cites “overwhelming evidence from a large number of scientific studies” to explicitly deny any link between MSG and “serious adverse reactions” or “long-lasting effects”, declaring MSG “safe for the general population”.
However there are many who now think otherwise. They suggest it is linked to:
- Obesity
- Chronic Fatigue
- Skin Disorders
- Fibromalgia
- Autism
- Brain Fog
- Restless Leg Syndrome
- Alzheimer’s
- Migraine
- Acid Reflux & Stomach Disorders
- ADD/ADHD
- Racing Heart
- Parkinson’s
- Morgellons
